You can make Homemade Frozen Watermelon Dog Treats with 2 cups of cubed seedless watermelon and 1/2 cup of plain unsweetened Greek yogurt. The mixture makes about 20 small treats, and you only need to blend, pour, and freeze it.

Ingredients

- 2 cups cubed seedless watermelon, rind removed
- 1/2 cup plain unsweetened Greek yogurt
Yield: about 20 small treats · Prep: 10 minutes · Freeze: at least 4 hours
Instructions
1. Cut the Watermelon Off the Rind

Cut the rind away from your seedless watermelon, working along the edge of the pink flesh. Keep cutting until you have enough flesh to measure 2 cups once cubed.
The pieces you keep should look bright pink, with no pale, firm rind attached. Set the trimmed flesh on your cutting board.
2. Remove Any Seeds and Cube the Flesh

Look over the trimmed watermelon and remove any visible seeds. Cut the flesh into small cubes, then measure 2 cups and add them to your blender.
You should see pink pieces filling the measuring cup without any rind. Leave any extra cubes out of the mixture so the measured amount stays at 2 cups.
3. Blend the Watermelon Until Smooth

Blend the 2 cups of cubed watermelon until the mixture looks smooth and pourable. Pause the blender and check for large chunks along the sides, then blend again until those pieces disappear.
The liquid should have an even pink color and a loose texture that runs easily from a spoon into a bowl.
4. Stir in the Yogurt

Pour the blended watermelon into a bowl and add 1/2 cup plain unsweetened Greek yogurt. Stir until the yogurt is mixed through and you no longer see large white streaks.
The mixture should look creamy and light pink, with a smooth texture that flows from your spoon into the molds.
5. Pour Into Silicone Molds

Set your silicone molds on a flat tray. Pour the watermelon-yogurt mixture into the cavities, dividing it evenly to make about 20 small treats.
Move the tray gently to level the liquid in each mold. You should see a pale pink surface in every cavity, with the mixture sitting inside the edges.
6. Freeze Until Solid

Place the filled tray in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours. Leave the molds flat while the mixture firms up so the treats hold their shape.
When they are ready, the tops should look solid and feel firm to the touch, with no liquid moving beneath the surface.
7. Pop the Treats Out of the Molds

Lift the frozen silicone mold from the tray and push up from the bottom of each cavity to release the treats. Continue until you have popped out about 20 small pieces.
They should come free in neat shapes with firm edges and a pale pink color. Transfer the finished treats to a freezer-safe container.
Tips for Serving and Storing
Serve a treat straight from the freezer in your dog’s bowl. For a dog that prefers a softer bite, let a treat soften briefly in the bowl before serving it.
Keep the remaining treats in a sealed, freezer-safe container so they stay separate from other frozen foods. Return the container to the freezer after you take out a serving.
Substitutions and Safety
For a dairy-free version, freeze the 2 cups of blended watermelon on its own. If your dog has food allergies or does not tolerate dairy, check with your veterinarian before serving yogurt treats.
Use watermelon flesh with the rind and visible seeds removed. Check the yogurt label for xylitol, also called birch sugar, which is toxic to dogs. Offer these frozen snacks as occasional treats, and supervise your dog while they eat.
